Microsoft Visio is diagramming software for Microsoft Windows. It utilizes vector graphics to create diagrams.
The 2007 Standard and Professional versions share the same interface, but the last has additional templates for more superior diagrams and layouts as well as exclusive functionality that makes it easy for users to connect their diagrams to a amount of data sources and display the information graphically.
Visio 2007 was released on November 30, 2006. Unlike complex text and tables, Visio diagrams can be easier for humans to recognize. Unlike static pictures, Visio diagrams can import and store data, display it visually, and can be refreshed and reused.
Microsoft acquired Visio Corporation in 2000.
